House Sits

Carolyn with Bonnie & Clyde
We initially started house-sitting in mid-2023 after our last fur kid, Shelby, crossed the Rainbow Bridge. It began as a way to get a bit of a surrogate fur-kid fix, and has since evolved into a chance to enjoy new places and experiences—while still fitting around work commitments that keep us close to home.
Over the years, we’ve shared our lives with many animals: dogs of all sizes (from Pugs and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, to Samoyeds, and larger breeds such as Akitas and German Shepherds), along with numerous cats, miniature horses, sheep, cattle, and chickens.
We consider it a privilege to be trusted with someone’s home and beloved pets, and we care for both with the respect and attention they deserve.
We follow your routines carefully (pets, plants, bins, security) and communicate clearly, so you can relax while you’re away. We also leave your home clean and tidy: at a minimum, rubbish and recycling are taken out and any laundry is placed in the washing machine. If time allows, we’ll dry the sheets and remake the bed. And because we know how it feels to arrive home and realise you’re out of milk, we try to ensure there’s enough on hand for tea and/or coffee.
