Where We Have Been - Singapore
Really only on the list due to its history with David’s family. His parents met in Singapore where his father was based with the Royal New Zealand Air Force and his mother was with her family. Her family had been based in Singapore immediately after the war as her father, who was seconded to the Royal Navy, was charged with helping rebuild the port. The family returned again when David’s mother was in her 20’s, she met and married David’s dad. Needless to say a Royal Navy Officers daughter hooking up with an enlisted Air Force bloke from the colonies did not initially go down overly well.
We visited some of David’s parent’s history including Raffles Hotel and got up close and personal with some Raptors at Jurong Bird Park and the wildlife on the Night Safari.
Closing Thought: Overall, after having experienced Hong Kong we found Singapore a little bland.

We have been lucky enough over the years to have travelled more than many but nowhere near as much as we aspire to. The world is a big place and there are still many places to see, many places to explore more thoroughly and many favourities to reconnect with.
Elsewhere on Crows on the Go you will find
• more on our travels and the places we have been
• our thoughts, and in some cases tips, in relation to some of these places
• what we consider our special places
• and more!
